I am captivated by the patterns, colours or textures I see in the world around me, whether natural or man made. By capturing and framing such details with my camera, I hope the viewer might not only appreciate the photograph I've taken, but also look at the subject in a new way.

Sometimes however, in my photography it's the irony or humour I see in the juxtaposition of things around me that prompts me to record them in this way.

The resulting images sometimes appear abstract, but the balance or composition of the components can be as important as the subject itself.
